MSW as defined in COMAR 26.13.02.02:

• Is waste that originates from households, private residences, schools, institutions, business, and commercial enterprises or as the result of community activities.

C&D as defined in COMAR 26.04.07.13

• Waste is described as structural steel, cement, concrete, bricks (except refractory brick), lumber, plaster, plasterboard, insulation material, shingles, roofing material, flooring, wall tile, asphalt, and pipes.

Other Waste as defined by MD State

• MSW ash, sewage sludge, scrap tires, yard waste, white goods, metals, compost, wood waste, food waste, electronics, pallets, textiles, special medical waste, asbestos, and other non-hazardous materials.
